Product Introduction
Graphitized Petroleum Coke is a high-temperature processed petroleum coke with high calorific value and good electrical conductivity. Its main component is carbon, which is usually higher than 98.5%, and contains very low sulfur, nitrogen and ash. GPC exists in black and gray granules with various specifications, such as sulfur content of 0.03% max, 0.05% such as 0-1mm, 1-5mm, 3-6mm, 3-10mm, etc., which can be customized according to customer needs.
Production process
The production process of GPC mainly includes raw material preparation, high-temperature graphitization treatment, crushing, screening and packaging. The raw material is usually high-quality petroleum coke, which is sent to a high-temperature graphitization furnace for graphitization after pretreatment. At high temperature, the carbon atoms in the coke rearrange to form a graphite structure, which gives GPC its unique properties. After graphitization, products of different specifications are obtained through crushing and screening, and finally packaged and quality controlled to ensure that the products meet customer requirements.

Product application
Iron and steel smelting: As a carbon additive, it can be used to increase the carbon content in the steel smelting process and improve the performance of steel.
Foundry industry: In the foundry industry, it can be used as a carburizer and modifier to increase the amount of spheroidal graphite and improve the structure of gray cast iron, thereby improving the quality of castings.
Other applications: GPC can also be used to produce large cathode blocks, large carbon electrodes, large graphitized electrodes and high-performance electrode slurries, as well as as anode materials for potassium ion batteries, stabilizers for military industrial pyrotechnic materials, etc.
