Low Sulfur High Carbon Graphitized Petroleum Coke

It is a type of graphitized petroleum coke whose sulfur content has reached less than 0.05% and fixed carbon has reached 98.5%. Low-sulfur graphite petroleum coke is widely used in the manufacture of various iron-based alloys such as steel and indestructible or ductile iron, where maintaining controlled sulfur content is critical to avoid structural changes.

Product Introduction

Our high-purity graphitized petroleum coke is manufactured from premium-grade petroleum coke at temperatures exceeding 2800°C. As a high-purity carbon material, it is widely used in the steel industry. It has the following characteristics: high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, low ash, low porosity, high absorptive character, no residue will be left, and it saves production costs.

The graphitized petroleum coke powder (grain) is manufactured through a graphitization heat treatment process, whereby high-quality, low-ash petroleum coke is subjected to temperatures exceeding 2800 °C in a vacuum environment. The product boasts a high carbon content, low hardness, high temperature resistance, large porosity and low heat conductivity coefficient. In comparison to traditional natural graphite and calcined coke, it demonstrably enhances caking properties and stabilises the friction coefficient, ensuring a stable and comfortable braking process and reducing damage to mating plate surfaces, brake noise, wear and cost. It is an optimal material for use in friction material plants.

To ensure the quality and integrity of our packaging, we dispatch personnel to inspect the loading at the loading port and take samples for third-party inspection for each shipment. We will keep customers informed about the loading conditions and the inspection results.

The graphite petroleum coke is used in the production of castings. It allows for an increased use of scrap steel and a reduction in the quantity of scrap iron, or the use of no scrap iron at all. The graphite petroleum coke has a high absorptive character, leaving no residue and therefore saving on production costs.
