Product Introduction

This product features:
High-purity graphitized petroleum coke is manufactured from premium-grade petroleum coke at temperatures between 2,500°C and 3,500°C. As a high-purity carbon material, it boasts a range of beneficial characteristics, including a high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, low ash, and low porosity. It is a highly effective carbon raiser (recarburiser), capable of producing high-quality steel, cast iron, and alloy. Additionally, it can be utilised as an additive in plastic and rubber applications.

• Applications:

Graphite Petroleum Coke is a highly versatile material with a wide range of applications. It is commonly used as a fuel in steelmaking and precision casting, as a reduction pregnant agent in casting, as a reducing agent in the metallurgical industry and as a type of refractory material.

Graphite Petroleum Coke has been shown to promote the nucleation of graphite in liquid iron, increase the amount of spheroidal graphite, and improve the structure and grade of grey iron.

Based on microstructure observation, the features of Graphite Petroleum Coke are as follows:
Firstly, it can significantly enhance the proportion of ferrite in nodular cast iron without a pearlite stabiliser. Secondly, it can increase the percentage of V and VI shaped graphite when used. Thirdly, compared to the improvement of the shape of spheroidal graphite, the substantial increase in spheroidal graphite amount can reduce the need for expensive nucleating agents for subsequent micro-adjustment, resulting in significant cost savings.
