Product Introduction

1-5mm semi-graphitized petroleum coke is a graphitized product obtained from petroleum coke through a special manufacturing process. This product has a high carbon content and relatively low sulfur, ash, and volatile content. It is mainly used in the steel casting process, where it significantly improves the quality and performance of steel products. Supplied in the form of black or black-gray particles, it is easy to handle and add. Its high absorbency ensures a significant increase in utilization in the steel smelting process.

Production Process:

As a high-purity carbon material, it has the characteristics of a high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, low ash, and low porosity. During the production process, semi-graphitized petroleum coke is subjected to a medium-temperature graphitization treatment in the temperature range of 1700°C-2700°C, and is classified as a medium-temperature graphitization product.

Low sulfur and ash content: The product has low sulfur and ash content, which helps to reduce impurities in steel products and improve product quality.

Applications

As a recarburizer: In the steel smelting process, semi-graphitized petroleum coke is employed as a recarburizer to elevate the carbon content of steel products, thereby enhancing their mechanical and processing properties.

The foundry industry can utilize semi-graphitized petroleum coke as an additive for foundry sand, enhancing the sand's properties and the quality of the castings.

Due to its good conductivity and high temperature resistance, it can also be used to produce carbon products.
