Low Sulfur S≤0.03% Graphitized Petroleum Coke

Low-sulfur graphitized petroleum coke is produced from high-quality petroleum coke under ultra-high temperature conditions of 2800-3200℃. As a high-purity carbon material, it features high fixed carbon content, low sulfur, low ash content, and low porosity.

As a core technical indicator for graphitized petroleum coke recarburizing agents, a sulfur content ≤0.03% is considered a high-grade recarburizing agent, and the nitrogen content can be controlled below 150 PPM. The fixed carbon content is generally not less than 98.5%, with high-quality products reaching over 99%; ash content is controlled below 0.4%, and volatile matter is controlled below 0.6%. Products with different particle sizes can be provided according to customer requirements.

Product Applications

1. Iron and Steel Smelting – Carburizing Agent

Graphitized petroleum coke is the highest quality carburizing agent material in electric arc furnace steelmaking and converter steelmaking. It is widely used in high-quality steel, special steel, and related metallurgical industries. Its core function is to adjust the carbon content in molten steel to meet the composition requirements of different steel grades.

2. Foundry Industry

In cast iron production, as a carburizing agent, it can significantly increase the amount of scrap steel used, reducing or replacing the use of pig iron. It can promote the nucleation ability of graphite in molten iron, increase the number of ductile iron particles, improve the microstructure of gray cast iron, and improve the grade of cast iron.
